The Story

Born from Quiet Admiration

Orchid & Grain was born from a quiet admiration for the enduring beauty of Song Dynasty ceramics — an era when everyday objects were crafted not merely for use, but for contemplation.

Between 960 and 1279 AD, Chinese artisans transformed clay into works of extraordinary refinement. Their creations embraced simplicity, balance, and the quiet poetry of natural imperfection. Centuries later, these principles continue to inspire museums, collectors, and makers around the world.
